BioSelfie considers the privacy and personal information of customers and visitors as highly important. BioSelfie treats your personal information with outmost confidentiality. BioSelfie security levels regarding the use of personal data are sufficient to be able to prevent unauthorized acces.

What personal information is processed and stored?
BioSelfie thus does not collect personal information. We do not know nor want to know who the users of our demo app are and whose identity documents are scanned. The app does need to process the personal information that is on of the identity document, including privacy-sensitive information like name, date of birth, personal number and document number. In addition, the app scans passports and identity documents via OCR ( Optical Character Recognition ) technology. The app processes this information locally on the smartphone, i.e., the app does not send personal information to a server for processing. The personal information that is processed for OCR is not stored on the smartphone. We dont store any User Data on our servers.
How is the personal information secured?
The processing of personal information is done on the phone, the confidentiality of this information depends on the security of the phone. What are the security measures implemented in BioSelfie?
The communication between the sdk and the server are encrypted, authenticated and timestamped (to detect replay attacks). The ID documents are classified from a security point of view and a confidence score is returned to the app along with a forgery score permitting to identify deepfake uploaded ID document images or scanned from a screen. Certified ISO 301107-3 passive liveness detection providing robustness against face spoofing attacks.
